My dad had a heart attack last night, and is in the ICU today. Thank God, my sister was with him when it happened, and when he was inclined to ignore the symptoms, she dragged him off to the hospital. It was a "minor infarction", whatever the heck that means. I'll get more news later today.

For all her faults, my sister rocks. Just for the record.

I'm so sorry to hear this, although it's not unusual for a person in a long-term relationship to have some sort of an incident when their significant other dies. Stress and grief are bad news for the elderly. I hope your dad is okay. My father also had a heart attack a couple of months after my mother died, and I totally attributed it to stress and grief; but he recovered. I'm not sure that he wanted to, but he did.
