I need to call my doctor tomorrow, I think. I'm not sure how soon blood pressure medicine is supposed to take effect, but after 4 days, my BP is nearly unchanged. And when I think that it's, like, strokesville (it's 182/100), I kinda want to watch it more closely than I used to!

I'm not a doctor, but I would think your medication should be kicking in a little faster than that. What are you on?

Um... *goes to get the bottle* It's a generic version of Maxcide, 25 mg - a low level diuretic, I believe.

I'll have to wait until Monday. But, yeah, I know that's dangerously high. I work for kidney doctors, and the kidneys are very susceptible to hypertension.

No dropping dead. (That will upset both us and you...) Go see that doctor.

And then let us know what's happening, so we don't worry.... (or do worry, if necessary)
