I bought a piece of exercise equipment called a "stepper". (It can be seen here: http://www.brylanehome.com/decor/Mini-Stepper.aspx?PfId=122554&DeptId=17257&producttypeid=1&PurchaseType=G&pref=ps#ReviewHeader)

The important thing about it, for me, is that it's small and easy to move. We have other pieces of exercise equipment, all gathering dust because it's such a pain to store them, then drag them out. This thing, I just set next to my computer desk until I want it, then drag it about two feet to be in front of the TV, and I'm exercising.

I thought I'd start out with about 15 minutes, then work my way up to my goal, which is (the much-recommended) 30 minutes a day. But I discovered that, at the moment, I can only do 10 minutes. I'm watching Ouran High School Host Club while stepping, and can watch half an episode a day with it. I have so many series I want to watch again - Kenshin, Firefly, Utena, Last Exile, and more - that I'm good for about a year. LOL!

Anyway, I'm not expecting to lose weight with this thing, only become a little more fit. This kind of exercise is good for arthritis, just like any kind of walking, so I'm hoping for some pain relief. (Bicycling and swimming are also good for arthritis, but since I can't afford a bike, not to mention a pool, walking is the thing to do.)
