Man, this week just keeps getting worse and worse.

My mom fell and broke her femur (that's the thigh bone, for those of you who, like me, didn't know it). They have to delay the operation because they discovered, in ICU, that she has fluid on her lungs and pneumonia. When they do operate, worst case scenario is she'll never walk again. Best case is 3 months in a nursing home, recuperating.

Oh, Kat, I really am so sorry...

I'll be keeping you and your mother in my thoughts. If there is anything I can do, anything at all, don't hesitate to ask.

Oh crap, that happened to my great-aunt in May, minus the pneumonia. And she's been the rest home longer while we're fixing her house so she won't fall again. Hopefully your sitch doesn't take as long *hug*

Oh, good grief, what next? If it isn't one thing it's ten thousand others, isn't it?

Here's hoping for good news when they do get to operate...

Oh, JEEZ!!!

I'm coming in just now, so I read that the surgery went well. Thank goodness. But get her out of that hospital as fast as you can!
