dragonfare: (whatever happens)
Even those of you who aren't believers might find this funny, but if not, pardon me for a moment of spirituality.

That Woman had me so angry, frustrated, and generally all out of shape that I could barely function over the weekend except by fiercely and determinedly shoving any thought of her from my mind. But last night, facing another week of work, I found that impossible, and therefore I found it hard to go to sleep. So I prayed. I prayed for the strength to deal with the bitch, and I prayed for some relief, and I kept praying until I went to sleep.

So today, she pretty much left me alone, and I got a lot of work done, my favorite kind of day. But the best part was when I opened my desk calendar. It's a horse calendar with wise quotes - one of my faculty members gives me one every Christmas. I flipped over the page for this week, and there's a picture of a pair of pack ponies, fully laden, wending their weary way up a forest path. (Oh, the alliteration. Someone hit me with a gerund.) The wise saying for this week was by Kathleen Norris, and it was - ready for this? - "Life is easier than you think; all that is necessary is to accept the impossible, do without the indispensable, and bear the intolerable."

Yeah. I was ROTFLMAO!
