dragonfare: (bring me that horizon)
It's definitely gout. However, it's a mild case, so I should be fine again in no time. I got a prescription for an anti-inflammatory that's on Walmart's $4 list, so I won't even have to cry about my empty checking account. My doc says that should take care of the problem in 1-2 days, although I have to take it for 20 days. I will have to make a few changes to my diet, but not a lot. Dang it, though, why can't fruits and vegetables be worth the bother of fixing them? And why does red meat have to poison us? At least they're not making me swear off chocolate. That would be a deal breaker.

I have to stop saying bad things about Walmart for a while, however. Being in a desperate state of pain (I've had to do a lot of walking today), I called them to see how soon my prescription could be ready, and they were already filling it. I can pick it up tonight on my way home.
