She's making good progress still, but she won't be home in a few weeks as we thought. It'll be months. Months! They'll be moving her to a rehab facility (as opposed to the rehab part of the hospital, where she is now) around Jan 3rd, and she'll have to stay there until she's able to take care of herself. Even if I could stay home to take care of her, I'm not strong enough. And of course I'm not - I'm out of the house from 5:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
So now I have to research rehab facilities, find one that I can visit and that will treat her right, and arrange somehow to get the finances into my hands so the bills can be paid. I have to admit, when I got hit with that today, I was pretty overwhelmed, but it was mostly the shock. I'll deal with it. I have good friends to help! :)
