This has not been a good week.

The worst is that I broke my ereader. It's physical damage to the screen, which is not covered by the warranty (which ended in 90 days anyway). That's $300 down the drain. However, I am going to look at the bright side (even if, in this case, that is very hard!). Sony had just released a new and better version, but I didn't buy it because it was $50-70 more and there were no accessories for it. I really wanted some of the features, so by the time I've saved enough to get a new one (September or October, I guess), I'll be able to get things I want for it. AND I'll get a hardcase. *whimper*

On a lower scale, I dyed my hair what I thought was the usual color today (a kind of golden light brown). I noticed the stuff in the sink seemed dark, but I didn't think much of it at the time. Well, it was dark - my hair is now a definite brown. Almost dark brown. I'm not sure if I'll like it or not - probably not, judging by the expression on my roomie's face when she saw it - but I emailed Clairol and complained and demanded a refund. Still, I'm stuck with this color for at least two weeks, which is the minimum I think I should allow before dying it again. However, to see the bright side, maybe this will convince me that I don't ever want to dye my hair black, which I'm often tempted to do.

On a lower scale yet, it's rained a lot lately, which is great for grass and hay, but means I'm going back and forth to the barn in mud - every step I took this morning (and there are a lot of steps for an arthritic woman going 70+ yards in mud), I either slipped, slid, or got stuck. Lots of fun. But, on the bright side, the horses are getting their fill of green.
