I got a really pleasant surprise today. My coworkers gave me a surprise birthday party. It's early - my birthday isn't until next Monday, but I won't be there, so they did it today. They were clever about it, too - I didn't notice a thing. Daniel baked a cake - a sinfully rich chocolate cake with dark chocolate candy in it. And I got a card signed by everyone, and two gifts! One was a stylish cane that folds up - really cool. The other is a very pretty and comfortable jacket, a casual blanket weave in what is almost a kimono style, royal blue with flowers and horses all over it.

I didn't expect anyone to even remember, so I was floored! It was so nice. *sniff!!*
