Sep. 12th, 2008 08:15 pmMy mom's potassium levels finally came down enough for them to operate. She came through just fine, and they expect to transfer her to her room later tonight, although it's unlikely she'll wake up for any of that. She'd fractured the bone just above the web of steel over her replaced knee, so they put in a plate and some bone graft stuff to encourage the bone to grow. My dad (who is the world's best husband, I swear) will probably go sit with her tonight.
Whew.
Everyone's gearing up for the hurricane, even way up here. We expect 4" of rain, and gusts of wind up to about 55 - rough, but we've had that before. Originally it was supposed to hit us tomorrow in the early afternoon, but now they're predicting late tonight, so I did my grocery shopping tonight. I hate driving in the rain. But man, am I tired.
